Kartause Ittingen

The Ittingen Charterhouse is today considered one of the leading seminar and cultural centers in Switzerland. The former Carthusian monastery is authentically preserved and restored. Guests have access to a hotel with 68 rooms (3-star Superior), a restaurant, a bar in the former oxen stable, various event locations with around 1,000 seats, and 20 seminar rooms with up to 450 seats. In a unique historical setting, the Ittingen Charterhouse offers an incomparable setting for a variety of social and cultural occasions. In addition to the hospitality business, the Ittingen Charterhouse runs an estate with viticulture, a butcher's shop, fish farming, a nursery and cheese dairy, as well as a home and work operation for supervised employees. It also houses two museums and the educational institution "tecum".

Thanks to its location in the wonderful natural landscape of Thurgau, surrounded by vineyards, fruit trees, and the intact Thurgau countryside, this place has a decelerating yet powerful effect.
