Restaurant Mineralbad

In 1463, the Unterrechstein healing spring was mentioned in documents for the first time. For over 300 years, its healing, mineral-rich water has been used for bathing, initially in simple dwellings, later in the Mineral Bath Inn, first in wooden tubs and then in tin bathtubs.
With the construction of the Appenzell Healing Bath in the 1980s, the Mineral Bath Restaurant lost its role as a "Bädli" (small spa). However, it remained a cozy, historic inn. Since it was slightly remodeled and Eric Dufeu took over the management of both the Healing Bath Bistro and the Mineral Bath Restaurant, it has experienced a new upswing. A small but exquisite menu and wine list with seasonal and regional cuisine invite guests to linger.
The restaurant comfortably accommodates up to 40 people. In the traditional Mineral Bath parlor, up to 12 people can be served.
Upon request, events can also be booked outside the official opening hours.
