Schipfe 16 is a city-owned restaurant with a social mission and a fabulous location on the River Limmat. There is scarcely a more beautiful place in Zurich than the left bank of the Limmat, with its picturesque Old Town buildings, the imposing wall towards the Lindenhof, and the Schipfe in the middle of it all.In fine weather, guests at Schipfe 16 eat on the terrace directly next to the river; otherwise, they make themselves comfortable in the recently renovated guest area. There are four changing lunch menus, including a vegetarian option. At Schipfe 16, everything from the main course to the cookie served with the coffee is prepared with great loving care.The restaurant is open all year round. Between November and March, it can be reserved for parties in the evenings during the first half of the week.
