Buchberghaus

The Buchberghaus of the Nature Friends Schaffhausen is a tranquil oasis for hikers, bikers, and anyone who feels at home in nature or wants to escape the stress of everyday life. It is nestled in the midst of a magnificent hiking area on the Merishausen Randen.
On weekends, the Buchberghaus is open throughout the year, offering ideal catering and accommodation options for everyone. Our simple and down-to-earth kitchen serves dishes with seasonal and the best possible regional products. The warm dishes are prepared on our venerable wood stove, a special challenge for any chef.

You will receive your overnight experience at the Buchberghaus at reasonable and humane prices. Rooms with 2, 3, 4, and 5 beds with Nordic bedding are available to you. In the dormitory rooms with 11 or 14 beds, bringing your own sleeping bag is mandatory.
From Monday to Friday, the house offers ideal conditions for schools and groups, private celebrations, birthdays, seminars, and business trips. You can also cook for yourself or have meals provided upon request through the reservation service.

At the Buchberghaus, the two designated barbecue areas can be used free of charge. The barbecue spots and the wood are provided for free. You can prepare your own food. However, we would be very grateful if you purchase drinks from the house during this time. The wood and barbecue areas are intended for grilling, not for bonfires: Please do not burn any brought packaging or other waste. Thank you very much.
